En ook....... And further.........

I was working not only on the scrap-hexagons from the previous post,
but also with these 1"-hexagons.
They just look like flowers....
And are really fast to make,
because they are not that tiny.....
(although I also love the tiny hexies...!)

;) ;)
It's so fun for once not to sew around paper,
but just follow a line.
You know, a line you draw using a template.

En met hulp van wat hexagon-papier;
Trouwens: een linkje voor het hexagonpapier?

And with the help some hexagon paper;
just to see how it will look.
Because with all those sides...
you never know ofcourse....
(at least I don't.......)   ;)
By the way; a link to the hexagon graph paper

Dus in de trant van deze quilt gaat  het ongeveer worden;
vooral dat rood erbij in de rand...
Prachtig!!
Dus:

And you know why I loved this idea so much?!
A very loooooooong time ago
there was a trunk-show by Betty Prins (click to her blog)
(at Quiltpalace in Staphorst).
Betty always uses the most lovely colours in her quilts!!
I totally fell in love with this one....
So I'm trying to make a quilt a bit like this one;
epecially that red in the borders...
Gorgeous!!
So:
thanks for your lovely idea, Betty!
Chapeau to you!

Geniet ze allemaal van jullie handwerkjes!
Doe ik zeker ook!
So enjoy all your needlework!
I'm sure I will enjoy mine!

Love, Ria.
