Prachtige expositie...... Great exhibition.....

van de quilts van Ada Struys bij "de Naaidoos" in Nieuw-Buinen.

Ik had ze al voorbij zien komen op hun site (klik), maar wilde ze toch graag zelf zien en dat was echt een genot om naar te kijken!

Kijk maar even:

I had seen them on their site (click), but wanted to see them for myself and that was a real treat!

Just take a look:

En dan te bedenken dat de maakster al 80 lentes is en alles met de hand heeft gemaakt in een tijd van drie jaar........ ik was sprakeloos.....

And to think that the maker is 80 years old and made them all by hand in a time of three years....... I was speechless......

Allerlei technieken; stoffen; kleuren, wat een creativiteit!

All kinds of techniques, fabrics, colours, what a creativity!

Ondanks dat de foto niet zo scherp is, zie je wel het licht eruit springen bij de linker Stack and Whack quilt; en de rechter mozaiek blijft maar draaien, he?!

Despite the bit blurry picture, you can see the light coming right at you from the left Stack and Whack quilt; and the one on the right (the mosaic) just keeps turning, doesn't it?!

En wat vindt je van dit prachtige pauwenpaneel? 

Ik kon het niet laten hangen..... ;)

Ondanks dat ik natuurlijk heb beloofd niets nieuws te beginnen, betekent dat natuurlijk niet dat je niets nieuws kunt kopen, toch??....  :)

Ofcourse I promised myself not to start anything new, but that doesn't mean that I can't by anything, is it??..... ;)

Natuurlijk moesten daar wel wat stofjes bij, want de ideetjes begonnen wel te borrelen, natuurlijk....

Ofcourse I had to search for some fabrics to go with the panel, because the idea's started coming, ofcourse.......

Gisteren was het moederdag, waarbij ik heel lief bedacht ben, 

en van de hele plaat appelcake waren deze stukjes nog over. 

Gezellig!

Yesterday it was Mothersday, with lovely visits and gifts,

and of the entire plate of applecake, these pieces were the only ones left.

Great!

Zonneschijn en........ Sunshine and.........

schaduw was het de afgelopen week! Intensief, maar wel heel bijzonder!

Sommige van jullie weten misschien al dat ik een heel speciale gelegenheid kreeg om een schat te ontmoeten! Valentina! :))

Het was echt een ontmoeting met een hele lieve vriendin! Soms heb je een speciale klik met iemand, vinden jullie ook niet? Dit was er echt één! Heerlijk om dat zo te ervaren! We hebben een speciale dag meegemaakt samen en genoten van elkaars bezigheden.

Ook zijn we nog geweest bij de Naaidoos in Nieuw-Buinen, aangezien we daar niet zover vandaan waren...... Wat een geweldige quiltwinkel is dat toch! :))

It really was a great meeting with a very dear friend! Sometimes you experience a special click with someone, don't you think so? This was one!

We had a very special day and enjoyed eachothers activities.

We also made a visit to the Naaidoos at Nieuw-Buinen, we were in the neighbourhood.....

What a great quiltshop! :))

De schaduwkant deze week was vooral het zakken van onze zoon voor zijn Havo5-examen.... Gelukkig vindt hij het zelf nog wel meevallen en is zelf al aan de slag gegaan om zich in te schrijven voor de avond-school.

The shadowside this week was because of the failing of our son for his Highschool-exam....

It's a good thing he thinks it's not such a big deal and already started to register for an evening-school.

Gelukkig is onze jongste zoon wel geslaagd voor zijn vmbo-examen en donderdag-avond hebben we genoten tijdens zijn diploma-uitreiking :)

Hij kreeg twee mooie rode rozen en zie eens in welke leuke vaasjes ze staan..... (herken je ze nog, Valentina?) Twee Albert Heijn-versesap-flesjes....... :))

Our youngest son did succeed in taken his exams and last Thursday-night we enjoyed his graduation. :)

He got two beautiful roses and look in what cute little vases they are...... (do you recognize them, Valentina?) Two Albert Heijn-freshjuice-bottles....... :))
