Een impressie....... An impression........

van waar ik de laatste tijd mee bezig ben geweest.......
Zelfs zoveel (naast andere dingen) dat ik niet aan bloggen toekwam. Sorry,allemaal!
of what I'm working on at the moment....
It was so consuming (among other things) that I didn't had time to write a blogpost. Sorry, all!

Zo leuk, die Trick or Treatmandjes!! ;)

So nice, those Trick or Treatbaskets!! ;)

En natuurlijk wat nieuws uitgeprobeerd; kleine pine-apple blokjes (5 inch- afgewerkte maat).

And ofcourse had to try something new; little pine-apple blocks (5 inch -complete size).

De Janny, die ondertussen heerlijk klinkt en naait; aan het werk aan de Sister's Choice blokken (te vinden op de free-pattern tab op Bonnie Hunter's Quiltvilleblog -klik).

The Janny, who sounds and sews perfectly now; working on the Sister's Choice blocks (you can find them under the free-pattern tab at Bonnie Hunter's Quiltvilleblog-click).

Natuurlijk moet ik niet vergeten te melden dat de "tuin" bijna helemaal doorgequilt is!! ;0)

Ofcourse I mustn't forget to tell you that the "garden" is almost completely quilted!! ;0)

Bijna BaD...... Almost BaD......

want morgen is het maandag en de update van onze kleine blokjes in de B(lock) a D(ay)-challenge, gehost door Robyn van Daisy Quilts (klik).
because tomorrow is Monday and the update of our little blocks in the b(lock) a D(ay)-challenge; hosted by Robyn of Daisy Quilts (click).

Hier zijn de kleine blokjes die ik afgelopen week heb gemaakt; het T(rick) o(r) T(reat)-mandje zag je al in het vorige logje... ;)
Here are the little blocks I made last week; you saw the T(rick) o(r) T(reat)-basket on the top allready in the previous post.... ;)

Het totaal van de ToT-mandjes staat nu op 6. En het zijn zulke leukjes om te maken!!

The total of the ToT-baskets are 6 now. They are so nice to make!!

En ondertussen kon ik het natuurlijk niet laten om op de "Janny" (oude Singer 306K uit het vorige logje) nog meer Sister's Choice blokken te maken (a la Bonnie Hunter - klik)

And ofcourse I couldn't resist making some more Sister's Choice blocks (a la Bonnie Hunter - click) using the "Janny" (the old Singer 306 from the previous post).

Van opzij....... Sideways........

Zo leuk om te zien hoe het oude naaimachientje nog steeds elke dag beter gaat naaien; rustiger en de spanning gaat ook steeds beter...... Zo zie je maar; je kunt ze maar beter laten naaien, dan loopt alles soepeler......

So great to see how the old sewing machine sew better every day; more quiet and the tension also improves by the day..... So you know: it's better to keep them sewing ....!!

En nog even de groetjes van een spelende Amar, lekker naast me op de bank.......... de gekke meid.....  :)

And a wave of a playful Amar, cosy beside me on the couch........ the little crazy girl.....  :)

Hoeveel je kunt beleven in minder dan een week...... How much you can experience in less than a week......

Echt, wat valt er veel te vertellen EN te laten zien..... (misschien moet ik het maar in twee keer doen...)
Really, there is so much to tell AND so much to show you..... (maybe I should devide it in two times...)

Na de prachtige Trunkshow van Supergoof kwam de zondag, met de Patchwork en Quiltdagen in Rijswijk.
Ik had een kaartje gewonnen bij Jeanneke (klik), weet je nog...
 Eerst zouden we langs mijn vriendin in Veenendaal gaan om de oude Singer naaimachine (306K) van haar moeder op te halen.
(we woonden vanaf onze geboorte twee huizen van elkaar af en zijn ook samen naar school en klas gegaan.... en houden nog steeds contact..; toch wel leuk!)
After the gorgeous Trunshow by Supergoof came the Sunday, with the visit to the Patchwork and Quiltdays at Rijswijk.
I won a ticket at Jeanneke's blog (click), remember.....
 First we went by my friend at Veenendaal to collect her mothers old Singer (306K).
(since birth we lived two houses from eachother and even went to the same school in the same class.... and still keep in touch; so much fun!)

En na een schoonmaak-smeer- en stelbeurt loopt ze weer prachtig! Ik moest er natuurlijk ook even flink mee aan de slag.... heb de oogst er maar even omheen gelegd....
And after a clean-oil-and fixing session she works like a charm! Ofcourse I had to make a few blocks to try her out..... and put them around her for show and tell....

En dan de Patchwork en Quiltbeurs...... Wat een mooie quilts; en wat divers.....

Ik denk dat ik jullie vandaag alleen maar even wat huisjesquilts laat zien en een volgende keer de rest....

Hier boven staat de quilt van Jeanneke (klik); de initiatiefneemster van de Huizen-hype.

Is ie niet prachtig!!!!!!

(en voor de liefhebber: er komt een stempel van de huisjes.... info bij Jeanneke....)

And the Patchwork and Quiltexhibit..... So manu gorgeous quilts; and so very different...

I think I just will show you the little houses-quilts and the rest another time....

Above is the quilt made by Jeanneke (click); she invented the Huisjes-hype.

Isn't it beautifull!!!!!

Wat verschillende kleuren, he?!  So many different colours, he?!\

Grote en kleine huisjes samen.... Big and small houses together.....

Een prachtig rood- en-wit- en blauw-enwit huisjesdorp.....

A gorgeous red-and-white- and blue-and-white village....

Mooi hoor! So beautiful!

En ook een hondenhuisje.....

And also a doggyhouse.....

Allemaal bloemetjes in de rand....

All flowers in the border.....

O ja, en Jeanneke had ook een huisje op de kop erin gezet, omdat op die dag.......

de Nederlandse regering gevallen was......

Oh, and Jeanneke also made a little house upside down, because that day....

the Dutch gouvernement fell.....

En nog een flinke zwaai van Sylvester.....( van Tweetie-cartoons...  ;)  .....)

Dan was het ook nog maandag B(lock) a D(ay)-challenge.....

En vandaag is het mandjesdag...... 

Ik heb zulke lieve mandjes gemaakt.... twee soorten....  :))

Maar even nog snel laten zien wat ik had gemaakt....

And Monday it was B(lock) a D(ay)-challenge....

today it's basketmakersday....

I made such cute baskets..... two types of....  :))

Just a quick show and tell of my little blocks....

En ik blijf natuurlijk bezig met ......."tuinieren"...... ;)

And ofcourse I keep....... "gardening"......  ;)

Dit is niet BaD...... This is not BaD.....

want de afgelopen week is er wel weer van alles gebeurd op blokjesgebied. Er is vooral veel gewerkt aan de hexagon-top om er weer een rij aan te zetten....
at all! Because last week there has been a lot of work done to put a new row on the hexagon-top....

En dan nog één rij kleine bloemetjes eraan om de hele grote hexagon af te maken. 

Daarna  moet er aan worden gewerkt om het geheel vierkant te krijgen...... 

And then there is only one row of little flowers to go. 

After that the top has to be made square.....

Natuurlijk zijn er ook nog kleine blokjes gemaakt; ook al is het niet zo veel.

Twee kleine sterretjes en een hexagonblommetje...

Ofcourse there were also a few little blocks made; even though not that much.

Two little diamond stars and a little hexagonflower....

Dit is dan de sterretjestop zover.... Zie je ze twinkelen; prachtig he?!

This is the little diamond star-top so far..... Do you see them twinkle, gorgeous, huh?!

En dan is er natuurlijk gewerkt aan de "In my Garden". 

Het is zo leuk om steeds te bedenken hoe je de verschillende blokjes quilt!

And I worked a lot on the "In my Garden". 

It so great to think of how to quilt all those different blocks!

Het kleine eendje..... in de wind....

De kleine kipjes..... pikkend van de grond....

The little chickens....  picking of the ground.....

En dit zijn de rand-blokken, met een bloemenmotief in de grote driehoeken.

And these are the border-blocks, with a flowermotif in the larger triangles.

Toch wel fijn om binnen steekjes te zetten, terwijl de wind zo koud blaast buiten....

Straks weer naar school om de kleinkids te halen; en zo ook nog even Amar uitlaten (dienatuurlijkhelemaalgeenlastvanwindofkouheeft...)

It's so nice to be stitching inside and the wind is blowing cold outside.......

Later on have to collect the grandkids from school; and also walking Amar in a moment

(althoughshehasn'tgotanyproblemswiththewindandcoldatall...)

Een goede-morgen; de Z*O*N schijnt....... A good-morning; the S*U*N is shining........

Heerlijk als het zonnetje zo vrolijk naar binnen schijnt (trouwens  niet teveel naar m'n ramen kijken......)! Lijkt alles ineens veel "zonniger"te gaan.... ;)
It's great when the sun shines so brightly through the windows (reminds me of doing my windows.....)!
Everything seems more "sunny" all of a sudden..... ;)

En hier is de BaD-progress weer! BaD staat voor B(lock) a D(ay)-Challenge, gehost door Robyn van DaisyQuilts (klik).
Vorige week heb ik niet zoveel aan de hexagonnetjes en kleine sterretjes gedaan, omdat de kleine pyramidetjes me zo bezig hielden..... en ze hielden me stevig bezig....... ;)
Zo ver zijn ze nu:

Last week I didn't do so much on the hexagons and diamond stars, because I remembered the little pyramides..... and they held me firmly in their grasp.... :)

En van de andere kant (iets mindere belichting..). Dan maar wat groter..

And from the other side (not such good light...) .So a little bigger..

 

 

En even laten zien dat de zijkanten opgevuld worden door een heel lief broderietje.

Echt helemaal katoen; een vondst op het Stoffenspektakel in Zwolle.

Prachtig, he?!

Just have to show you upclose that the sides are filled with a sweet little embroidery fabric.

Real cotton; a find at the Stoffenspektakel at Zwolle.

Cute, isn't it?!

 

 

Nu nog de randen bedenken; er ligt al wat klaar..... ;)

Now to the borders; I'm already thinking of something....  :)

 

 

En dit is dan de uiteindelijke opbrengst van de BaD, de afgelopen week. Toch nog leuk, he?

Eigenlijk allemaal gedaan dit weekend....

Want ik vind het doorpitten van de "In my Garden" ook zoooooo leuk!!

Wat heb je dan als quiltster veel keus............   :D

And this is the final outcome of the BaD, last week. Nice?!

Actually all done this weekend...

Because I also love quilting the "In my Garden"!!

What a lot of choices we quilters have.......  :D

Wat speelt er..... What's playing........

En ook de kleine (0,5 inch) hexagonnetjes zag je al voorbij komen...

Nu zag ik de afgelopen dagen ook de pyramidetjes weer liggen op de plank en dat trok me ook zo!

Natuurlijk zijn dat ook kleine blokjes, met een basis en hoogte van 10 cm. Die zouden ook mee kunnen doen!!! ;)

Wat is de BaD toch een super-idee!

Eigenlijk ben ik zo ontzettend nieuwsgierig of het E*C*H*T lukt om al die UFO's dit jaar af te krijgen.

Het zou wel geweldig zijn!!

Nou, we gaan er gewoon voor, toch?!!

These last days I also saw the little pyramides on the shelf and the just drew me to them!

Ofcourse they are also little blocks, with a base and height of 10 cm.

And they also could join in the fun!!!  ;)

The BaD is just such a great idea!

Actually I'm so terribly curious if it would R*E*A*L*L*Y work to get all those UFO's finished this year.

That would be so awesome!!

Well, we will just try, won't we?!!

Daarom was ik vandaag heerlijk bezig met Josephine (lieveoudeFeatherweightdametje..) om al die kleine blokjes weer bij elkaar te brengen en gezellig tot een grote groep te verzamelen!

LEUK!

That's why I was happily working today with Josephine (thelovelylittleoldFeatherweightlady..) to bring all those little blocks together and join them in a big group!

GREAT!

 

 

En toch lijkt het alsof het mandje met strips niet slinkt....

And still it seams as if the basket with strips doesn't  shrink...

 

 

Vandaag heb ik zo'n elf pyramide-blokjes gemaakt.

Today I made about eleven pyramide-blocks.

 

 

 

 

En de opbrengst van de BaD, de afgelopen week, waren 5 sterretjes en 2 hexagonbloemetjes.

En de BaD is een idee van Robyn van Daisy Quilts (klik) en zeker een bezoekje waard.  ;)
