Alweer een quilt van de UFO-stapel af en op de AFFO-lijst!

Hier is de "Kusjes-quilt"; met bies en label.... helemaal AF!  :D

Het patroon is van de String-X quilt van Bonnie Hunter (klik).

Another quilt traded places; from the UFO-pile on to the FINISHED-list!

It's the "Kisses-quilt"; with binding and label.... completely DONE!  :D

The pattern is String-X by Bonnie Hunter (click).

Is het niet een plaatje!

En wat extra's...; dankzij een ongelukje met een gebroken naald..... :(

I had finished Easy Street earlier, but now she has a binding and label.

And something extra......; due to an accident with a broken needle.....  :(

Ze heet: "Sheep on Easy Street".... dankzij de schaapjes op dit groene stofje.

Zie je het zwarte schaapje?

Schattig he?!

En ondeugend dat ie kijkt.......  ;)

Er was een ongelukje met een hond en een kat en daardoor een gebroken naald...

Voordat ik dat door had... zat er al een gat in de quilt....

(snif-snif-snif-snif...)

Maar gelukkig dankzij een lieve gift van een vriendin, kon ik ook een paar schaapjes "van het padje af" erbij betrekken.

Nu zie je het gaatje niet meer...... ;))

Lief hoor, vriendinnetje!!

There was a little accident with our dog and cat and consequently a broken needle....

Before I knew it... there was a hole in my quilt....

Thanks to a fabric-gift from dear friend, I added some sheep "of the trail...".

Now the hole is covered......  ;))

Gisteren was Carolina Christmas (mysterie  van Bonnie Hunter ..2009...ahum..!) aan de beurt voor het quiltframe.

Ik heb er zo'n zin in om die de komende weken af te maken!

Daarna nog twee en dan ben ik helemaal bij met de machine-quilt-UFO-stapel.

Blij..... Happy.....

Terwijl ik hier heerlijk nog een blaadje aan de tweede slinger van deze rand van de Love Entwined zet, ben ik zo dankbaar dat onze kleindochter Nadeche gisteren thuis gekomen is uit het ziekenhuis.

De operatie is heel goed verlopen; en na een paar moeilijke dagen, ging het gisteren zo goed dat ze naar huis mocht!! 

Wauw! Zo trots op ons kleine Prinsesje!!

Ze noemen we haar vaak: Nadeche-Prinsesje; met haar guitige snoetje en blonde krullen...

Oma's zijn vaak verliefd op hun kleinkinderen, he? 

Nou..... hier is het niet anders...... ;)

Ik ben verliefd op alle vier! 

Uuuhh... eigenlijk vijf; alleen de vijfde wordt pas eind december geboren....

Maar ik kan er nu al helemaal verliefd op zijn.....  :D

And while I'm enjoying stitching another leaf to this garland  of one of the Love Entwined borders; I'm so grateful that our granddaughter Nadeche returned home from hospital yesterday.

The surgery went very well; and after a few difficult days , she was doing so well yesterday that she could go home!!

Wow! I'm so proud of our little Princess!!

That's how we often call her: Nadeche-Princess; with her cute little face and beautiful blond curls..

Grandmothers are often in love with their grandkids, huh...?

Well... I'm no different.....  ;)

I just LOVE all four of them!

Uuhhh, actually.... all five of them, but the fifth isn't born yet... we have to wait till the end of december...

But I'm already totally in love with it......  :D

Hoe al die kleine strips (van overgebleven stofjes) een leuke X vormen tussen de paarse driehoeken.

Het lijkt net een kusjes-blok, vindt je niet?

Dan zou het een "Kusjes-Quilt" kunnen worden toch?!  ;D

It's made of all little scraps who make an X in between of the purple triangles.

It just looks like a kissing-block, don't you think?  

So it could become a "Kissing-Quilt"? :D

Op deze laatste dag van 2013... On this last day of 2013......

wilde ik iedereen heel graag een goede jaarwisseling wensen.
I wanted to whish you all a good New Year.

Deze laatste maand is er in onze familie veel gebeurd. Op 4 december schreef ik dat mijn vader aan het laatste stukje van zijn aardse reis was begonnen. Toen wist ik nog niet hoe dichtbij het zou zijn....
Op 10 december is hij overleden.
We zijn blij dat hij uit zijn lijden is verlost en dat Hij nu veilig is in Jezus armen (zoals hij het zelf nog benoemde voor hij niet meer spreken kon).
En die rust en vrede hebben we ook zelf ervaren in de week van de begrafenis...
Nu moeten we verder...... voor mijn moeder en voor ons is het gemis groot......., maar elke dag is er opnieuw Kracht om te kunnen leven, genieten en ook om af en toe tranen te laten.....
There has happened much in our family, this last month. On December 4th I wrote that my father started the last piece of his earthly yourney. At that time I didn't know how close that was....
He passed away on December 10th.
We are glad that the Lord delivered him from this suffering and that he is now safe in Jesus' arms (als he called it himself when he was still able to speak). 
And this rest and peace we experienced ourselves in the week of the funeral...
Now we have to go on.. we miss him so much....., but every day there is again Strength to be able to live, enjoy and also to let our tears flow....

En natuurlijk vind ik het dan heerlijk om mee te doen met de Celtic Solstice-mysterie van Bonnie Hunter (klik)

Ik ben zelfs bij..... , sinds gisteravond is deel 5 ook klaar. Het is echt super om achter je trapnaaimachientje je gedachten te laten gaan..... 

And ofcourse I  loved to join the Celtic Solstice-mysterie by Bonnie Hunter (click).

I even caught up....., since last night part 5 is also done. It is so great to work behind your treadle and let your thoughts run free........

Ik heb zelfs een stofje gevonden waar de naam van mijn vader op staat....... dat is toch wel bijzonder om in deze quilt te verwerken, he?!

I even found a fabric that has my father's name on it..... that's really special to put in this quilt, isn't it?!

Ook de bloemetjes geven me plezier om aan te werken..... en ook daar ben ik bijna klaar met deel 7....

En met deze foto wil ik mijn laatste blogje van dit jaar afsluiten.....
Deze handen, die de handen van de Here symboliseren. De handen die mijn vader naar de hemel hebben gedragen; en de handen die ons ook vasthouden nu wij hier nog op aarde zijn...... om ons allemaal moed en vrede te geven voor het komende jaar; wat ons ook overkomen mag.
In de mooie en in de moeilijke dingen mogen we weten dat Hij ons wil dragen. Daar houd ik me graag aanvast en wens het jullie allemaal toe.

These hand, who symbolize the hands of our Lord. The hands that carried my father to Heaven; the same hands that will carry us here on Earth..... to give us courage and peace for the coming year; whatever it will bring.
In the beautiful and in the difficult moments we may know that He will carry us. That's my stronghold and my whish for all of you.

p.s. de handen waren een idee van onze oudste dochter; en het hartje heb ik gemaakt en er (samen met mijn moeder) in gelegd omdat ik drie dagen na de begrafenis jarig was..... mijn 55-ste verjaardag..... en eerste zonder mijn vader.......
