Een klein blokje...... a small block........

kan zoveel plezier geven......
can give so much pleasure......

These are block C9, Jane's Tears, and block D10, Battlefield. I prepared them some time ago and I just couldn't resist finishing them. I think I keep on doing that, because it gives me the idea she keeps on going that way...... It sure is fun!

Super!
And these are the first two blocks of the G-row of Sylvia's Bridal Sampler (SBS). It sure comes along! And it's a real adventure to make all those different blocks. One block you have to cut the fabric in a 45 degree angle and the other one has very tiny starpoint you have to paperpiece...... Great!

Just a small post this time, I'm babysitting the grandkids, so not much time to do any of this........ :)

Geniet van vandaag! Enjoy today!
Love, Ria.

Dus tijd voor....... So let's enjoy......

a few lovely stitches..........; with Josephine (the graceful little old lady - Singer Featherweight).

It's great to be busy with Sylvia's Bridal Sampler (SBS). This is block F6 (it's called Album 2). I sure love to craft with fabrics in this kind a weather! Maybe I will also light a few candles....  ;)

Look, this is the first block of the F-row (the 6th row). It's a real challenge to make every block. And as I work quite precise, I also want them to be rather perfect; every starpoint pointy etc.... It does give satisfaction if another one finished!

And the following two blocks...... I thinks she's becoming a beauty.....  :)

Block 4 and 5 of the F-row and look: a real New York Beauty!!!! It seems like so much fun to make a whole New York Beauty-quilt!!! So you learn all kinds of techniques; so much fun!

And before I wave you all goodbye, a link to a song that keeps humming in my head (truly!) all morning.....

Z*W*A*A*I ..............  W*A*V*E

Soms gaat het net iets anders........ sometimes things just go a bit different.....

from how one would like it........ It took a while longer than the I thougt, since last blogpost. This past year wasn't easy; I was feeling tired all around the clock, didn't have any energie and just didn't want to do anything. After a doctorsvisite and some medical examinations it showed I had a burn-out (sort-of..)
The doctors advice was to take it easy and just do the things I love most........; sound advice, don't you think so??!!
So that's what we do and therefore this is probably a looooooooong up-date!!!
Just do as Amar and take your time to read......  :)

First I  continued with the SBS (Sylvia's Bridal Sampler). I got stuck somewhere in the third row; and because I only use the Rouenneries-fabrics by French General (Moda), you can understand I got a little worried I wouldn't have enough fabric..... So I was lucky to buy some at Quiltpalace and some more at the Quiltexhibit at Deventer (happy dance.......!!!!!!), so I could continue.

Underneath the SBS you see the klosjes on the quiltframe! Yeeeeeeesssss! They really are framed and I'm already busy quilting! Great work!! So sorry you can't see the background fabric; maybe next time....... (I have to get under the frame to take a picture......  ;)  ......).

And before the klosjes could enter the quiltframe, this spiderwebquilt had to be removed, ofcourse.......
This one has been a while on it, without making any quiltstitch. I think, it is because I made it with the help of our dogs: Max and Rowdy. Actually it is still a bit difficult to work on it.... (sounds strange maybe, but well, I also am a bit of a strange person, I think.....). Anycase she is ready to be quilted; we will see when......

In the meantime there are also 81 stars attached to eachother and that makes a great starpicture!
What a lovely job that is! It is always nearby for when there is a bit of time leftover...  :)

:/  .........
And this is a long-forgotten-quilt. During removal of a wicker basket in our livingroom, I found this one back; with all of it's fabrics and backsidefabric as well and almost finished........ I know I wanted to make this one for a friend. But she started quilting herself and rightaway made a kingsize quilt for their bed; even in the same colours!! She was (is!) so enthousiastic ; I didn't want to stand in the way..... and so I forgot all about this one ......
Now I am so glad to have found her again and I rightaway started to make the flying gees borders. The centre and the starcorners were already done, so it wasn't so much work to finish it; and look how great she is!!
Ofcourse now I have three tops to quilt.........  :/  .......

En al die prachtige rood-met-witte paddestoelen! Zo mooi!!! Geniet van de herfst!
And all of those gorgeous red-and-white mushrooms! So beautiful!!!
Enjoy the fall!

Love, Ria.
