Steekje voor steekje....... Stitch by stitch......

komen allerlei verschillende werkjes dichterbij het doel. (omindetrantteblijvenvanhetvoetbal, he?!) 

all kinds of projects are closer to their goal.  (tostayintermsoffootball-orsoccer-, he?!)  

Sweet William wacht rustig op 'r beurt. En staat gewoon mooi te zijn...... ;)

Ik heb wel ontdekt dat ik het handquilten echt gemist heb... 

Maar nu ga ik gewoon zo snel dat er alweer een kwart af is.

Dat klinkt natuurlijk super, maar het betekent wel dat het in dit tempo zo af is....!!!

En... er is nog GEEN opvolgend handquiltporoject af!

Dus daar moet ik ook snel aan gewerkt worden en misschien iets minder aan het doorpitten van de SW.  :'(

Sweet William is patiently waiting her turn. And is just being beautiful....  ;)

I did discover I really missed handquilting..

But now I'm going so fast that a quarter of the quilt is already done.

That sounds great (I know), but it means that, if I keep working at this rate, this quilt  is soon finished....!!!

And... there is NO following handquiltproject to work on next!

So I have to work faster on another WIP (WorkInProgress) and less on quilting the SW.  :'(

En dat stimuleert natuurlijk wel enorm!

Er zitten hier 343 mandjes aan elkaar. 

Dat wordt al mooi, he?! 

Ik zou terug moeten kijken hoelang ik hier al mee bezig ben; ik weet het niet zo uit m'n hoofd, maar al wel een hele tijd.   ;)

I'ld have to look back to know for how long I'm working on this one; I don't know out of the top of my head, but quite some time.   ;)

En door het hele gebouw in huis, was ik al flink achtergeraakt met de dekens voor de dochters.

Dus dat moest ook even in gehaald; en mooi dat het wordt!

Heerlijk om even met je haaknaaldje rustig op de bank te zitten 

(en ondertussen te genieten van het voetbal!!).

And because of all the renovating in our home, I was way behind with the crochet along blankets for the daughters.

So I had to catch up; and it's turning out so beautiful!

It's great to relax with a crochethook on the couch

(and watching football -soccer-!!)

Ook even een paar plaatjes van de tuin; heerlijk genieten!

Eerst maar even laten zien dat er heerlijk wordt doorgewerkt aan de Sweet William-quilt 

en ik moet echt zeggen dat ik handquilten toch wel weer heel erg leuk vindt.

Het gevoel die kleine steekjes te maken....... hmmmmm... heerlijk!

I first wanted to show you my progress on the Sweet William-quilt.

And I have to say, I find handquilting so much fun.

It's such a great feeling to make all those tiny stitches..... hmmmm...... love it!

de nieuwe keuken en toilet zijn helemaal klaar!

Wat is het een heerlijk gevoel om daar naar ... en in rond..... te kijken!

Alles heeft zijn plekje weer gevonden.

(ppssstt; .......  ik heb zelfs nog twee planken over......)

Geen afzuigkap meer aandoen met de schroevedraaier......  ;D

Zucht....... H*E*E*R*L*IJ*K.....!

AND.........

the new kitchen and toilet are done!

What a great feeling it is to look at.... and to be there!

Everything has found it's place again.

(ppssssttt: ...I also have to shelves who are empty.......)

No turning the extractor hood on with a screwdriver.......   :D

En nu je overal ziet dat het hexagonnen-virus weer om zich heen grijpt, 

ben ik ook maar even begonnen om oude dingen erbij te halen.

Het is toch wel weer leuk om te spelen met die allerlei-kleuren-bloempjes!

Het moet toch echt maar eens af;

zien hoe ik dat ga doen..

I also wanted to pull out the old project.

I can tell you it is so much fun to play with all those coloured-flowers again!

Just have to see how I will finish this one..

Het is echt heerlijk om weer eens steekjes met de hand te kunnen zetten in een quilt.

Wat heb ik dat gemist, zeg!

Dit leuke bloemen patroon-malletje heb ik gevonden bij Quiltpalace (klik).

En zo hangt het even voor de show van de tafel;

Het is gewoon een plezier er naar te kijken!

En met een heerlijk zachte katoenen vulling is het een super werkje!

En je snapt zeker wel dat ik veel liever quilt, nu je de toestand in onze keuken ziet.

Het wachten op de nieuwe keuken is begonnen; maandag gaan ze beginnen....

Wat een troep was het gisteren met het slopen van de oude keuken en al het georganiseer daaraan vooraf!

Hopelijk kunnen we hier de komende week vertoeven..

Met een beetje meer zon moet dat toch te doen zijn?

The Love-Entwined bee....

Het was alweer de laatste keer voor de zomervakantie; wat ging de tijd snel; wat hebben we van al die prachtige, ontwikkelende Love Entwined's genoten!

En van alle tips die over en weer vlogen!!  :)

Daarom had ik als afsluiting maar een hart gemaakt voor allemaal, omdat we zo

zijn met ons handwerk!

It was the last time we gathered before the summervacation.

The time flew; we had such fun seeing all our beautiful, developing Love Entwined's!

And all the tips we shared!!   :)

That's why I made a heart for each of us, because we are all so

We laten ook altijd zien wat we gedaan hebben de afgelopen maand.

bijvoorbeeld die blauwe..... :)

Ofcourse we also love to see other quilts we made... huh?  ;)

Het is een streepje in de stof; maar kijk eens hoe precies die doorloopt.....!

It's actually a line in the fabric, but look how precise it runs threw the block...!

Het was weer een geweldig ochtend!!

In september gaan we verder met onze LE-bee.

Ik ben toch zo benieuwd hoever we dan zijn met z'n allen.......  :D

K-r-oningsQuilt en andere quiltige zaken..... The King's Quilt and other quilty affairs.....

Hier hangt eindelijk de K-r-oningsQuilt aan de lijn!

De bies zit er net aan en dan ook meteen maar even in de wasmachine en de droger.

En dan als laatste even uitwaaien in de tuin.

Dat kan ook bijna niet anders met het prachtige weer hier; 22 graden C; heerlijk!

Here is finally the King's Quilt hanging outside!

The binding is finished and she came right out the washingmachine and  dryer.

And now getting a breeze in the garden.

The weather is perfect for it; 22 degrees C; great!

Ik vind het altijd leuk om de naam, datum en mijn afkortingen op de achterkant te borduren, ipv een label.

I like to embroider the name, date and my initials on the back; instead of a label.

En natuurlijk maar snel verder met het volgende project wat af moet.

De laatste drie blokjes van de Sweet William.

Dat wordt ook een pracht quilt, met al die mandenblokjes!

En deze wil ik graag met de hand doorquilten; ik mis gewoon het handquilten!

Dus snel afmaken maar....  ;)

And ofcourse on to the next project I want to finish.

This is also going to be a beautiful quilt, with all those lovely basketblocks!

And I would love to quilt this one by hand; I just miss handquilting!

Ik had ze al voorbij zien komen op hun site (klik), maar wilde ze toch graag zelf zien en dat was echt een genot om naar te kijken!

Kijk maar even:

I had seen them on their site (click), but wanted to see them for myself and that was a real treat!

En dan te bedenken dat de maakster al 80 lentes is en alles met de hand heeft gemaakt in een tijd van drie jaar........ ik was sprakeloos.....

And to think that the maker is 80 years old and made them all by hand in a time of three years....... I was speechless......

Allerlei technieken; stoffen; kleuren, wat een creativiteit!

All kinds of techniques, fabrics, colours, what a creativity!

Ondanks dat de foto niet zo scherp is, zie je wel het licht eruit springen bij de linker Stack and Whack quilt; en de rechter mozaiek blijft maar draaien, he?!

Despite the bit blurry picture, you can see the light coming right at you from the left Stack and Whack quilt; and the one on the right (the mosaic) just keeps turning, doesn't it?!

En wat vindt je van dit prachtige pauwenpaneel? 

Ik kon het niet laten hangen..... ;)

Ondanks dat ik natuurlijk heb beloofd niets nieuws te beginnen, betekent dat natuurlijk niet dat je niets nieuws kunt kopen, toch??....  :)

Gisteren was het moederdag, waarbij ik heel lief bedacht ben, 

en van de hele plaat appelcake waren deze stukjes nog over. 

Gezellig!

Yesterday it was Mothersday, with lovely visits and gifts,

and of the entire plate of applecake, these pieces were the only ones left.

Great!
