Even wat "quiltigs"....... Just something "quilty"......

aan jullie laten zien....... De pyramidetjes vorderen ook al gezellig tot lange slingers; en het zijn echt plaatjes om te zien! Zo leuk hoe zoveel totaal verschillende stofjes zich gedragen in één quilt-to-be.
to show you...... The little pyramides are coming along nicely into long garlands; and they are so cute!
It's great to see so many totally different fabrics creating a beautiful quilt-to-be.

En ook de quilt van Nadeche wordt al een plaatje! Hier zie je nog hoe ze klaar ligt om aan elkaar gezet te worden.  Ondertussen zijn wel al aan het doorpitten, maar daar heb ik nog geen foto van............ :( .....  

And also Nadeche's quilt is going to be a beauty! Here you can see how she's ready to be put together. 

In the meanwhile I have started quilting here, but forgot to take a picture.......  :( ....... 

     

En ook de rode quilt (Featherweight Challenge) ligt ondertussen op ons bed. Hier is ze bijna klaar, een volgende keer maar een totaal plaatje van onze rood/witte slaapkamer, waar ze precies bij past. :)

And also the read quilt (Featherweight Challenge) is ready and lies on our bed. Here she's almost ready, a next time I will show you a picture of our red/white bedroom where she fits in nicely. :)

Ondertussen is onze kamer ook helemaal opgewaardeerd, en dat was beste een heleboel saus-en verfwerk...., maar we zijn er ontzettend blij mee. Zo komen de quilts nog beter naar voren....  :)

Our livingroom had a total make-over, and that was a lot of paint-work....., but we are very happy how it turned our. This way the quilts are looking so much prettier.... :)

En ja, inderdaad!!! Jullie zagen het goed: een quiltrek à la Supergoof..... staat het niet prachtig?!! Even van dichtbij.....

And yes!!! You saw it wright: a way to hang you quilt like Supergoof does..... isn't it beautiful?!! A bit upclose.....

Dat was het even voor nu. Geniet van de zon en hopelijk tot snel!

In de ban van de pyramides...... ;) ...... Fascinated by pyramids...... ;) ......

Heb je soms ook wel eens dat je denkt dat je beter niet aan iets nieuws kunt beginnen......... en het toch NIET kunt laten.......... ;))     Nou, dat is mij nu ook overkomen.........
Het pyramide-scrap-project van Ellie (klik) is mij ook "aangevlogen"..... en leuk dat het is!!!!!! Ik kan bijna niet meer stoppen....., alles is naar de achtergrond gedrongen......, ik moet en zal die pyramidetjes maken...
Zo leuk om je scraps overal vandaan te halen (ja, echt hoor, van de vliering; uit de rieten manden; uit koffertjes........) Weet je: echt alles kan bij elkaar!! Het staat zo geweldig!!
Do you sometimes also have the feeling it would be better not to start something new...... and still you cann''t help yourself and you do it anyway.......  ;))   Well, that happened to me.....
The pyramid-scrap-project by Ellie (click) also "clung" to me..... and it is so much fun!!!!! I almost cann't stop........, everything became less important....., I have to make those pyramids......

It is so much fun to find scraps really everywhere (yes, it sure is true: everywhere: from the attick; from wicker baskets; from little suitcases.....) And you know: everything blends!!!! It's just great!!!!!


Dit was dus even mijn korte berichtje en gauw terug naar de pyramides...........

Lieve vlaggetjes, schattige mandjes, prachtige quiltboeken.... Lovely little flags, beautiful baskets and great quiltbooks....

Dat duurde echt langer dan gedacht....... en ondertussen is er ook best wel veel gequilt. Dus maar even een "tour de quilt"...... ;)

Willen jullie er een kopje koffie (of thee?) en wat lekkers bij? Geniet ze!

That took a while longer that expected.... and in the meanwhile there has been a lot of quilting. So lets take a "tour de quilt"...... ;)

Dit wordt de quilt voor kleindochter Nadeche (bijna 4 jaar). Vrolijke vlaggetjes, leuke stipjes en kleine prinsesjes... :)

This is the quilt for granddaughter Nadeche (almost 4 years old). Cheerful flags, lovely dots and beautiful princesses..... :)
En de mandjes blijven ook zo leuk...... soms blijven ze even liggen, maar het is zo'n heerlijk werkje als je even een paar momentjes over hebt... Wordt het geen plaatje? Ergens moet er een grote mand (ik denk met bloemen) in verwerkt worden....., vind je niet?

And the baskets also keep attractive.... sometimes they stay here quiet, but it's a great little thing to do when you have a few moments to spare.....

Isn't she gorgeous? Somewhere there has to come a big basket (probably with flowers) in it......, don't you think so?

En een lieve vriendin heeft deze quiltboeken voor me gevonden! Prachtig! Eén met Airedale terriers erin....; en het boekje met de irisquiltjes is een plaatje. Er staat een artikeltje in de laatste Quiltnieuws.
And a dear friend found me these quiltbooks! Super! One with Airedale terriers in them.....; and the little book with the irisquilts is just gorgeous. There is an article about it in the last Quiltnews.
En er was een interne verhuizing..... Mijn quiltkamertje gaat gebruikt worden door één van onze zonen en dus is mam verhuisd naar het kamertje van mijn andere hobby..... pottenbakken.... Wel zo handig; ook voor Amar.... is vrouwtje niet meer zo buiten bereik...., vindt vrouwtje ook wel gezellig!! ;)

And there was an internal relocation....... My quiltroom is going to be used by one of our sons and so mum moved to the room of my other hobby..... pottery.......

Just as convenient; also for Amar.... I'm not so out of reach......., I also like that...... just as cozy.....

Nou, dat was het voor eerst. Ik hoop dat jullie ervan genoten hebben! Ik vond het fijn om jullie weer wat te laten zien!

Amar is erbij in slaap gevallen zo je ziet....... de kleine woef.... (nou ja, klein..... ;) ......).

Zoveel te laten zien........ So much to show you.......

Eerst maar mijn shawl, die gemaakt wordt van één bol wol (100gram, sokkenwol). Op de handwerkbeurs in Zwolle, had ik geholpen bij Gerda (Quiltpalace; klik) en de wol en patroon voor de shawl al zo vaak verkocht dat ik hem zelf ook wel graag wilde maken........ ;)

First my shawl, I'm making it from one ball of wool (100 gram, for socks). On the craftsfair at Zwolle, I helped Gerda (Quilterpalace; click) and selled the wool and pattern for the shawl so often that I wanted to make it myself....... ;)

En vorige week kreeg ik van Heleni (klik) dit prachtige lapje van haar toegestuurd wat ik had gewonnen bij haar Give-away! Een schatje; en zelfs nog een paar prachtige lapjes erbij voor de huisjes of m'n lieve Sjaan. Heel erg bedankt, Heleni!!!

Last week I received this gorgeous fabric from Heleni (click), that I won in her Give-away! Such a cutie; and she even sent me some more fabric for my little houses or my dear Jane.

Terwijl ik ook bezig met huisjes (de kleine....) kwam de prachtige "Home Sweet Home" ook in mijn gedachten..... Ik kon niet laten aan het volgende huis te beginnen...... 41 Thistle Hill Terrace. Het is wel even weer overschakelen na de kleine stukjes van "In my Garden", maar heerlijk om zo'n schattig huis onder je handen te zien verschijnen...., genieten hoor!

While I'm also working on the houses (the little ones....) the gorgeous "Home Sweet Home" also came back into my thoughts..... I couldn't resist starting the next house..... 41 Thistle Hill Terrace. It's a bit getting use to after the little pieces from "In my Garden", but it's a great feeling seeing such a lovely house appear in your hands........ really enjoying!

Je kunt nog net een stukje van de rozen zien die ik van mijn oudste dochter heb gekregen..., omdat ik vorige week zo ziek was dat ik niet kon oppassen. Lief, he?! :))

Ik zal ze even helemaal laten zien.......

You just can see a little bit of the roses I got from my eldest daughter. Last week I was too sick to babysit. Isn't it sweet?! :))

Sjaan en de Huisjes..... Jane and the Houses.......

Hebben jullie dat nu ook wel eens? Dat je je tussen twee dingen in voelt zitten? ;)

Sjaan is hier nog steeds op visite (volgens mij blijft ze dit keer echt langer logeren, hoor!! Ze heeft zich bij ons stevig ingenesteld.....), maar ook de huisjes vragen steeds om aandacht.....

Do you sometimes have this? Feeling stuck between two things? ;)

Jane is still visiting ( I really think she's staying for a bit longer this time!! She has firmly impanted herself......), but the houses also require my attention..........

Een lang verwachte visite....... A long awaited visit.......

Het is vandaag de 5e februari........ En raad eens wie er op visite is geweest de afgelopen week???

Ja, inderdaad, je raadt het al!! Jane kwam eindelijk weer op visite. Ik had namelijk de afgelopen tijd zoveel leuke visites van Jane meegelezen in blogland, dat ik het ook wel weer eens heel leuk zou vinden als ze mij langs kon komen. En dat deed ze.......... ;)) ........!

Wat was het weer leuk om aan die kleine blokjes te werken!

Today is the 5th of Februari........ And guess who visited last week???? ;))

Yes, you guessed!!! Jane finally came to visit. The last weeks I read about such great visits by Jane in blogland, that I thought it would be so great if she visited me as well. And she did.......... ;)) ......!

And it was such fun working on those tiny blocks again!

Dit is blokje F11; On Target (nou, het voelt nog niet of ik "on target" -op schema- ben...... want voor mijn gevoel lig ik een eind achter....... :).

Dus het was wel een speciaal grapje van Jane om deze als eerste te maken na zo'n lange pauze....... :D)

This is block F11; On Target (well, I don't feel like I am "on target"......... because as I feel it, I'm quite behind target....... :).

So it feels like Jane played a little joke on me after such a long break..... :D)

En dit is blokje A7; Dad's Plaids. Lekker snel en gemakkelijk. Ook heerlijk om te maken, vooral omdat je lang niet met die kleine blokjes bezig bent geweest......

Easy and quick to make. This was great, especially because I haven't been working on those tiny blocks for a long time.....

En ik ben me toch gegrepen door het volgende virus:........

Het is het huisje van Jeanneke, maar dan ietsje groter. Geen 7,5 vierkante cm, maar 12.....

Zijn ze niet leuk? Dit zijn de eerste twee en ik wil ze graag helemaal van scraps maken.

It's the little house by Jeanneke, but not the 7,5 square cm, but I made it 12......

Aren't they cute! These are the first two, and I want to make them entirely by scraps.

Kijk eens wat hier aan de muur hangt..... (ze is nog niet gedubbeld, hoor...), inclusief randen nu...... en de hondenhokjes voor Max, Rowdy en Amar. En omdat Amar onze huidige hond is, is dat het hokje met de hartjesdeur..

And look what's hanging on the wall...... (I didn't sandwich her yet.....), including borders now and the doghouses for Max, Rowdy and Amar. And because Amar is our present dog, that's the doghouse with the heart-door..

Ze is toch nog wel behoorlijk groot geworden.... 1.75 bij 1.75 mtr. Maar ze kan er mooi hangen, toch? "Millie" geeft haar nu nog "backing", maar ik zal nu wel snel beginnen met dubbelen; het lijkt me heerlijk om dat te doen.... Deze quilt heeft echt mijn hart wel gestolen....

She grew quite big..... 1.75 at 1.75 mtr.

But she has enough space on that wall, doesnt she?

"Millie" gives her "backing" right now, but I think I'll start sandwiching soon; I really love to do that....This quilt really stole my heart....
